Impact Award 2025

Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) is proud to present the second iteration of the IMPACT (Inspiring Movement for Positive And Conscious Transformation) Award, celebrating regional businesses and projects that drive sustainability in fashion. This award recognises innovative practices, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility aimed at inspiring and promoting circular initiatives. It honours long-term sustainability progress and impactful contributions to environmental and social change across the fashion ecosystem. 

Eligible applicants must

  1. Be an Organisation or Project must be based in Singapore/Southeast Asia.

  2. Focus area of Apparel, Accessories, or Lifestyle. 

  3. Successfully implemented at least 1 sustainability strategy, which resulted in positive change and impacts (environmental and/or social) along the value chain such as but not limited to: 

  • Logistics  

  • Materials  

  • Retail  

  • Manufacturing  

  • Pre & Post Waste  

  • Certification

You may either: 

  1. Submit an application for your OWN organisation or project here.

  2. Nominate a company, organisation, or project you believe deserves to be recognised here.

How to apply or nominate?

What to submit?

Applicants are required to provide: 

  1. Name of your solution  

  2. Company/Organisation name 

  3. Website link 

  4. A brief introduction (up to 100 words) 

  5. A video presentation (up to 3 minutes) or a write-up (up to 400 words) detailing the solution’s impact and how the solution contributes to one or more of the following: 

    • Impact – Results in positive environmental or social benefits 

    • Leadership – Shows strong values and inclusive practices 

    • Integration – Sustainability is integrated into the business/operations 

    • Innovation – Uses new ideas or collaborates in unique ways 

    • Communication – Clarity and transparency when communicating sustainability efforts 

  6. A link to supporting documentation using a file-sharing platform (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer) and ensure access permissions are open.   

  7. Contact details of Primary and Secondary Points of Contact 

Nominators are required to provide: 

  1. Name of the organisation or project you are nominating 

  2. Website or social media link (if available) 

  3. A short write-up (up to 200 words) on why you believe they deserve to be recognised, focusing on their sustainability impact 

  4. Your contact details so we may follow up if needed 

  5. The nominee’s contact details so they can be informed if the nomination is successful  

STAGE 1: OPEN CALL

[21 May – 14 Jul 2025] 
Once you have submitted the application form, it will be considered an official application for the 2025 prize year and you will receive a notification from Singapore Fashion Council. 

Timeline

STAGE 2: SEMI-FINALIST & FINALIST SELECTION 

Your application and virtual pitch will be subject to review by a panel of judges. 

  • 31 Jul: Semi-Finalists Announcement (Top 6 per category) 

  • 14 Aug: Semi-Finalists’ Virtual Pitch (3-min pitch + 5-min Q&A) 

  • 31 Jul – 25 Aug: Judges' Review 

  • 28 Aug: Finalists Announcement (Top 3 per category) 

STAGE 3: WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

  • 25 Sep: Award Ceremony at Be the Change Summit 2025 

Note to all applicants: 

Please ensure your availability on the following dates if you are selected as a semi-finalist or winner: 

  • 14 August: All semi-finalists must attend a virtual pitch session to be eligible for finalist selection. 

  • 25 & 26 September: Winners of IMPACT Award 2025 will be invited to attend Fashion Futures.

2024 Awardee

Organisation Category - DORSU

A Cambodian-owned sustainable fashion label, Dorsu operates its own ethical manufacturing facility in Kampot. By repurposing pre-consumer deadstock fabric, they reduce waste and lower the demand for virgin materials, aligning with circular economy principles. Their focus on fair wages and safe conditions enhances social equity while fostering ethical labor practices. Dorsu’s model demonstrates a scalable approach to sustainable fashion, combining environmental impact reduction with responsible production. This dual commitment to material lifecycle extension and local craftsmanship establishes a benchmark for industry-wide transformation.

Project Category - ZALORA

Zalora’s logistics expansion is deeply integrated with its green initiatives, prioritising sustainability as it grows. The company has adopted low-carbon last-mile delivery methods, including bicycles and hybrid vehicles, reducing its carbon footprint while enhancing operational efficiency. In Singapore, over 12% of deliveries are handled by hybrid vehicles. Zalora has also committed to sustainable packaging, using 100% post-consumer recycled plastic flyers and FSC-certified boxes. With a focus on resource optimisation, the company has diverted more than 85% of its waste from landfills through recycling. By 2030, Zalora aims to source 100% renewable electricity for its fulfilment centers and offices.
